Sahara Pines Animal Hospital is committed to caring for your pets during the COVID-19 pandemic. Safety is always our highest priority for our clients, patients, and employees. This has led to innovative changes at our hospital as we develop our responses to the changing circumstances.
We are monitoring and following the CDC recommendations If you are feeling unwell, exhibiting signs of COVID, or high risk we encourage you to ask someone else to bring in your pet or reschedule your appointment.
Starting June 22nd, our new operating hours will be permanently changed to Monday through Friday 7:30
am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8-5. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED, NO WALK-INS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED. Our lobbies are open to the public.Due to the extra cleaning time between exams, it is imperative that clients arrive on time. If you are going to be late for your appointment, we request that you call the office to see if we can still accommodate you or if we will need to get you rescheduled. Pets having surgery will be admitted in the morning between 7:30-8:00 and discharged between 5-5:30. This time enables us to ensure we have a prepared area for the doctor to meet with you. In instances that the patient requires an earlier discharge time, we can coordinate that on an individual basis. And of course, if you are more comfortable with a curbside approach for these services, that is also available.
What is curbside?
Call from your car when you arrive in the parking lot and let us know who you are and the reason for your
visit. We have three numbered cones in the parking spaces, so if you are in one of those, let the
receptionist know. Otherwise, let us know what car you are in. Next, a doctor’s assistant will be out to get
your pet or bring you your food or medications. After the doctor has seen your pet, they will give you a
call. Please make sure your phone is on and ready to go! Be aware, if our primary lines are in use, we
may call from a backline. Also, we have found it can be difficult to hear you if you have us on speaker
phone in your car so please speak directly into your cell phone. Due to curbside service, we are
experiencing high call volume and we appreciate your patience.
